Frisco - Silverthorn

There is a nice paved trail along one shore of the Dillon Reservoir. It's nice for families or beginners or a quick, pleasant ride for anyone out of Frisco or Silverthorn
A very nice view from the paved trail.

Deer Creek Road

This trail is a long climb above treeline. It goes well above 12,000 feet.
The views are spectacular.
It's a good idea to ride this road early in the morning to avoid the intense sun and possible thunderstorms.
There is some 4 wheel drive traffic on this road, which is another reason to ride in the morning and on weekdays.
Frequent stops "to look at the view" will give you a chance to catch your breath.
By the time you get here you feel like you are really among the peaks.
The ride back down is a great treat. It convinces you that the money you paid for front shocks was worth it.
